Project Overview

EventStarts transformed the iconic Bellworks complex from a massive office building into a high-end gala and concert venue. The event featured live performances including Yaakov Shwekey and required extensive custom engineering due to the lack of traditional rigging points.

A multi-screen LED screen rental configuration combined with complex truss structures and dynamic lighting created a floating stage effect with the band positioned between LED walls.

Custom LED Screen Rental Design and Engineering

EventStarts handled all LED screen design, technical drawings, renderings, and engineering paperwork internally. A suspended header LED screen was installed from the balcony level above the stage, despite the venue offering no built-in rigging infrastructure.

Custom suspension solutions were built using 20-inch truss combined with counterweight systems and base plates to meet load and safety requirements.

LED Screen Rental Inventory Used:

• 191x P3.9 LED panels (500mm x 500mm) center screen
• 52x P3.9 LED panels (500mm x 500mm) header screen
• 66x P3.9 LED panels (500mm x 500mm) side screens
• 2x NovaPro UHD all-in-one LED controllers
• 2x NovaStar CVT4K-S fiber converters
• 4x 500 ft Neutrik quad fiber optic cable reels

The LED screen rental system created depth, motion, and strong visual framing for both performers and audience.

Truss Structure and Rigging System

A large-scale custom truss structure was engineered to support LED screens, lighting, and scenic elements throughout the venue.

Truss and Rigging Inventory Included:

• OD truss structure (approx 80 ft wide x 18 ft deep x 20 ft high)
• Square bolt truss segments (2 ft, 4 ft, 5 ft, 6 ft, 8 ft, and 10 ft lengths)
• Tomcat box truss 20-inch segments in multiple lengths
• Universal truss corner cubes and junction blocks
• Steel base plates (30 inch x 30 inch)
• 4x Stagemaker 1/2 ton 3-phase motors with PDs and cabling
• Schedule 40 pipe with cheeseboros for balcony mounting
• 360x 25 lb sandbags used for counterweight and stabilization

This rigging system allowed safe suspension of the header LED screen and lighting fixtures in a non-traditional architectural environment.

The lighting design supported both elegant gala moments and full concert performance energy.

• 6x Portman P2
• 2x MPROW Mystic haze machines

Lighting Control and Power:

• Avolites Arena lighting console
• MPROW 48-channel power distribution boxes
• 4/0 feeder and Socapex cable trunks

Lighting was tightly integrated with the LED screen rental system to maintain balance, contrast, and visual clarity across the stage.

Results

The combination of LED screen rental, complex truss engineering, and a dense lighting package transformed Bellworks into a visually immersive gala and concert venue. Despite architectural challenges, EventStarts delivered a safe, elegant, and technically advanced production.
