Project Overview

For the legendary Russian rock band DDT, EventStarts delivered a full-cycle concert production at Madison Square Garden Theater, converting the venue into a fully equipped, tour-grade concert space. The scope included technical planning, logistics, installation, tuning, and on-site execution under a tight schedule.

A central element of the visual design was LED wall rental, combined with high-power lighting, truss, and professional touring audio systems.

LED Wall Rental and Video Infrastructure

A large-scale LED wall rental system was deployed using high-resolution P3.9 panels configured for maximum visual impact at Madison Square Garden Theater.

LED and Video Equipment Used:

• 224x DV4 P3.9 LED wall panels (500mm x 500mm)
• 2x NovaPro UHD 3-in-1 video controllers
• 2x NovaStar CVT4K-S fiber converters
• 2x 500 ft opticalCON quad multimode fiber tactical cable reels

Media playback was handled via WATCHOUT media servers and Resolume Arena 7 running on a MacBook Pro 16-inch M3, providing reliable redundancy and precise content control.

Stage, Truss, and Lighting System

The stage design was custom built to support multiple performance positions, lighting angles, and camera sightlines within Madison Square Garden Theater.

Lighting and Rigging Inventory Included:

• 14x Martin MAC Viper Profile
• 8x Clay Paky Mythos 2
• 8x Martin MAC Quantum Wash
• 4x Chauvet Pro Color STRIKE M V2 LED strobe wash fixtures
• 24x Bolt box truss (12 inch x 10 ft silver)
• GrandMA3 Lite lighting console

The lighting system was tightly integrated with the LED wall rental to create depth, contrast, and dynamic transitions throughout the performance.

Power Distribution

Reliable power was critical for the scale of this production at Madison Square Garden Theater.

• 16x Stagemaker 1/2 ton 3-phase 80 ft motors including PDs and cabling

Audio and Backline

• Shure wireless microphone systems
