UBS Arena is the most technologically advanced sports and entertainment facility in the New York metropolitan area. Opened on November 19, 2021, the 745,000 square foot arena sits within Belmont Park in Elmont, Long Island — its design drawing inspiration from iconic New York landmarks including Central Park, Grand Central Terminal, Ebbets Field, and the Park Avenue Armory. Guests enter through a stately grove of mature legacy trees preserved to honor Belmont Park's storied history.
Designed by Populous with direct input from Live Nation, the arena was conceived from the ground up to be one of the best concert venues in the world — featuring best-in-class acoustics, the finest sightlines in Metro New York, and a bespoke back-of-house artist campus built to the exact specifications of touring professionals. It is also the only arena in Metro New York purpose-built for hockey, bringing the New York Islanders home to Long Island after years of playing elsewhere.
With 57 luxury suites, 5 private clubs, 8 bars, the largest scoreboard in New York State, full 5G connectivity, contactless entry, and two outdoor terraces open to all guests, UBS Arena represents a new standard in live entertainment — sustainable, community-focused, and built to last generations.
The seating bowl features the best sightlines in Metro New York, placing every seat closer to the action. State-of-the-art acoustics engineered for world-class artists, the largest scoreboard in New York State, and two levels of high-resolution LED ribbon boards ensure nothing is missed.
UBS Arena offers 57 luxury suites and 5 private clubs, each designed with upscale finishes and premium hospitality. Multiple premier access points, a 23,000 sq. ft. player campus, and dedicated VIP entrances ensure the highest level of service for every guest.
Two outdoor terraces open to all guests offer a unique pre-show experience set within the historic Belmont Park grounds. Surrounded by a landscape of legacy trees and inspired by Central Park, the setting is unlike any other arena in the country.
The New York Islanders, long searching for a permanent Long Island home after years at Nassau Coliseum and Barclays Center, partner with Oak View Group and Sterling Project Development to create a world-class arena at Belmont Park — a $1.5 billion project generating an estimated $25 billion in regional economic activity.
UBS Arena officially opens with a private fundraising event featuring rock band Chicago. Harry Styles performs the first public concert nine days later on November 28 — inaugurating one of the finest concert venues in the country.
The arena's opening triggers a $100 million investment in transit and infrastructure, including the Elmont station — the first newly constructed Long Island Rail Road station in nearly 50 years — making the venue directly accessible by train from Penn Station.
Home to the New York Islanders and host to the world's biggest touring artists, UBS Arena has rapidly established itself as the premier live entertainment destination in the New York metropolitan area — LEED certified, tech-forward, and built for the next generation of fans.
