UBS Arena is the most technologically advanced sports and entertainment facility in the New York metropolitan area. Opened on November 19, 2021, the 745,000 square foot arena sits within Belmont Park in Elmont, Long Island — its design drawing inspiration from iconic New York landmarks including Central Park, Grand Central Terminal, Ebbets Field, and the Park Avenue Armory. Guests enter through a stately grove of mature legacy trees preserved to honor Belmont Park's storied history.
Designed by Populous with direct input from Live Nation, the arena was conceived from the ground up to be one of the best concert venues in the world — featuring best-in-class acoustics, the finest sightlines in Metro New York, and a bespoke back-of-house artist campus built to the exact specifications of touring professionals. It is also the only arena in Metro New York purpose-built for hockey, bringing the New York Islanders home to Long Island after years of playing elsewhere.
With 57 luxury suites, 5 private clubs, 8 bars, the largest scoreboard in New York State, full 5G connectivity, contactless entry, and two outdoor terraces open to all guests, UBS Arena represents a new standard in live entertainment — sustainable, community-focused, and built to last generations.

UBS Arena officially opens with a private fundraising event featuring rock band Chicago. Harry Styles performs the first public concert nine days later on November 28 — inaugurating one of the finest concert venues in the country.
Infrastructure
The arena's opening triggers a $100 million investment in transit and infrastructure, including the Elmont station — the first newly constructed Long Island Rail Road station in nearly 50 years — making the venue directly accessible by train from Penn Station.
