RENTAL Behringer Wing Digital Mixer

The Behringer WING digital studio console is a new addition to the Behringer studio equipment lineup. It offers more than 48 channels, support for Waves SoundGrid technology, touchscreen control and other useful features.

The slim console with a futuristic design offers eight inputs with Midas PRO microphone preamps and eight outputs. The mixer itself can function as a 48-channel audio interface, connecting to a computer via a USB 2.0 port. WING can control DAWs from a special console via HUI and Mackie Control protocols. Thanks to three AES50 ports, the number of mixer channels can be increased up to 144 per input and output. In turn, support for Waves SoundGrid and Dante/AES67 technologies allows you to add 64 more inputs and outputs through the network, for which the Audio-over-Ethernet protocol is used.

The console and channels are controlled by 24 motorized faders (100mm) and a large touchscreen display. Additionally, the mixer has touch controls that act as rotary knobs. The Behringer WING also features two SD card ports, allowing the console to function as a field recorder with up to 64 simultaneous tracks and track marker placement.

The unit has an additional four-channel control section and two effects sections. For example, the Premium FX rack features eight stereo effects processors that emulate TC Electronic, Lexicon, Quantec and EMT equipment. At the same time, the Standard FX rack offers a set of useful treatments from Behringer itself. Users can use both effects sections at the same time, mixing the processed signals between them.

In addition, the Behringer WING offers five processing slots to accommodate effects and plug-ins on up to 40 stereo input channels. There is a separate FX insert, 16 AUX buses, parametric EQs, expansion slots and other useful features. The picture is completed by support for StageCONNECT technology, which guarantees particularly low latency when working with the console.
